About

'Sharing a passion for the rich tapestry of the past and a desire to reinvigorate and revive it for the present, Watts and Zardi & Zardi make natural partners.’ - Fiona Flint, Creative Director Watts of Westminster

Zardi & Zardi was founded in 2004, at the start of the digital-printing revolution.  The aim was to create a range of high quality decorative wall hangings, digitally printed onto linen. Developments in technology allowed Zardi & Zardi to ‘reproduce the patina and subtlety of colour that result from hundreds of years of ageing’

Since then Zardi & Zardi have produced a number of museum-grade reproductions of antique tapestries for historic houses and organisations, such as Kensington Palace, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, The National Trust and English Heritage. In the early days these projects would often involve Zardi & Zardi providing reproductions of the client’s tapestries as temporary replacements whilst originals were away for cleaning and conservation.

As the number reproduction projects increased Zardi & Zardi’s portfolio of digital images built up and our product range has developed.  A combination of the latest digital technology and the innovative skills of our in-house designers lets us bring new and exciting relevance to these classic tapestry motifs.

So, whilst we continue to provide the Tapestry Reproduction Service, we also produce wonderful furnishing fabrics and beautiful wallpapers.  We offer a wide range of standard products from our Portfolio, but we can also work closely with clients to create Bespoke pieces to fulfill their specific requirements.

These developments have lead Zardi & Zardi to working with not only historic houses and curators but also Interior Designers, hospitality (Adare Manor, Soho House Group) and the TV and film industry (BBC’s Wolf Hall, Black Sails and Red Sparrow).

In 2016 Zardi & Zardi entered an exclusive distribution agreement with Watts of Westminster, London.
